I’ve been wanting to make this juice for some time now, but I never seem to think of it when I have bananas. Apart from just eating them, all that usually comes to mind is banana bread or as a base in a smoothie (never the star). So for all you banana lovers out there, here’s a smoothie that will give you that instant burst of energy and provide you will a light fullness anytime of the day. It’s packed with vitamins B3 & B6, biotin, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and potassium. Also, with the use of hemp milk (as opposed to any other milk alternative), this smoothie also packs a wallop of omega-3 and -6! It benefits the skin and hair, bones and muscles, as well as the nervous, cardiovascular, and immune systems. This recipe makes one 8-oz smoothie.
1 medium banana, peeled
1 tsp shredded coconut
1/2 C hemp milk (or other milk alternative of your choice – I bet the So Delicious Coconut Milk drink would be devine!)
1 tsp agave nectar
Blend all ingredients together for about 30 seconds. Serve chilled (over ice if your banana isn’t already chilled/frozen) and enjoy!
