Hot Damn! I had a cup of hot chocolate (with my standard Hemp milk) last night as a nightcap, and not just any hot chocolate. I ordered the Dagoba Xocolatl Hot Chocolate from Vegan Essentials (but now I can’t seem to find it on their site, so I’ve linked to the Dagoba site). All I can say is Hot Damn! On occasion I will add a bit of chile powder to my hot chocolate (especially if I’m melting down the chocolate instead of using a powder). But this has a punch that knocks my socks off – in a good way! I don’t know if I could drink it as a regular nightcap..it definitely won’t replace my nightly tea. It could become a regular thing though, especially during the winter months. But boy oh boy, this is not for those who are wimpy with hot spices. Perhaps it seemed extra-punchy because it was my first experience, and it might mellow now that I know what to expect, who knows. It’s quite tasty for those who need a swift kick in the taste buds from time to time!

This sounds awesome – another thing I’ve been wanting to try. Plus, I love the name – reminds me of Yoda (I know, I know, spelled differently, I think). Thanks for putting me on your blogroll – that makes me feel special – I’ve added you to mine
This spicy chocolate could induce Jedi powers…who knows. Sometimes all you need is to offer someone a cup of vegan hot cocoa for the Jedi mind trick to work..
[...] the recipe. That’s when I realized I didn’t have any regular cocoa. All that I had was my Dagoba Xocolatl Spicy Hot Cocoa… I’ve never experienced a cookie with heat before..I was extremely pleased. It’s not too [...]
